Vehicare turns the invoice your mechanic hands you into a complete service history — without typing a word.
And because it knows what was actually done, and how much you actually drive, it works out what’s due next.

What’s worth knowing
- A real Mac app, not an iPad app in a window. Of the car maintenance apps on the App Store, only two others were found to be native Mac apps, and neither had a single rating.
- Invoices are read on the device, with Apple’s Foundation Models. The model holds about 4,096 tokens at a time, so a long invoice is read in parts. For an invoice the device can’t finish, Private Cloud Compute is an option the user turns on.
- No account, no analytics, no trackers. What people record stays in their own iCloud account. The developer only sees an invoice when someone chooses to email him one it read wrong.
- Any make, any age, any garage, including the independent one down the street, where a carmaker’s app knows only its own dealers. The history stays with the owner, and exports as a PDF to hand the buyer at resale.
- Built in English and French, by a developer in Quebec, and it reads invoices in either language, with their own decimal commas and day-first dates.
About Vehicare
Vehicare is a car maintenance log for iPhone, iPad and Mac that turns the invoice a mechanic hands over into a complete service history, without typing a word. It reads the jobs, parts, costs, odometer, garage and date from a PDF, a photo or a scan, on the device, then works out what’s due next from what was actually done and how much the car is actually driven. It is free for the first vehicle, and one payment, with no subscription, unlocks the rest. Vehicare is made by Pascal Bourque, an independent developer in Quebec, Canada. Caring for what carries you.
